Berryman runs a fleet of 40 specialist vehicles collecting from Local Authorities, Licensed Premises, Hotels and many other sources and organisations.

The vehicles are clean and smart to create a positive impression, both on the move and when collecting glass.

The vehicles are also used as moving advertising hoardings with panels being used for recycling messages.

We recognise that although the UK has made considerable progress recently, we still have some catching up to do to reach continental Europe levels.  The bottle bank density in the UK is 1 bottle bank to 2700 people, in Europe this ratio is 1:1250.

Across Europe the average recycling is above 50%, compared to the UK’s 35% . Some countries are achieving rates of over 90% because of the greater density of recycling facilities.
